Steeplechase 1908 - 1964

What A Great Entrance !

On the inside were rides such as Whirlpool,

The Human Roulette Wheel,  Human Pool Table,

The Giant Slide and a three tiered carousel

called El Dorado.

Tilyou built an enclosed two-acre

glass-n-steel pavilion as the centerpiece

These badges were tickets

and they were punched for

admission to the mechanical,

(wooden) Steeplechase horse ride.

The Race Is On ! !

Steeplechase track -

This is an overview of the mechanical horse track.

The horse race ended at the Blow-Hole Theater.

But their fun wasn't over yet...

A strong gush of air came from the floor and people

were chased by a clown with an electric paddle.
